Shotgun Shells Recipe (Oven Baked)

These oven baked shotgun shells recipe is made with a mixture of beef, sausage, cream cheese, shredded cheese, spices, bacon and BBQ sauce. They are a delicious appetizer that’s definitely a conversation starter.

Ingredients

  • (2) 8 ounce boxes manicotti shells
  •  pound ground beef
  • 1 pound hot Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 cups Colby jack cheddar cheese
  • 6 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 jalapeno, finely diced
  • 2 teaspoons Slap Ya Mama seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • (3) 12 ounce packages bacon
  •  cup barbecue sauce, plus more for coating
